My name is Leland R. Thomas. I’m a photographer, writer, film and video editor, senior professor at Columbia College Hollywood, poet, father and grandfather; not necessarily in this order.

I have worked in the film industry for over 40 years. The majority of my time has been as a freelancer. I have written, produced, directed and was both an IATSE picture and sound editor until 1990.

I have been an instructor of film and video production since 1972. For four years I served as a blue ribbon panelist for the selection of local Emmy competitions and have been involved with civic groups such as Boy Scouts of America and the Business Network International.

I have written, produced, photographed and edited film and video productions, as well as, multi-media/audio visual presentations for clients such as Star-Kist Foods, Inc., British Airways, H.J. Heinz, Inc. and the California Avocado Commission.
